Annemarie McLean is a writer for Liberty Counsel, a nationwide public interest civil liberties law firm committed to restoring the culture, advancing religious freedom, protecting the unborn, and strengthening the family. In 2012, she founded 3D Missions, an international outreach taking the Gospel to the nations through the performing arts, and co-founded Brave & Beautiful, a platform empowering young women to live, love, and lead courageously. She holds a journalism degree from Oral Roberts University, with post-graduate work in organizational leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Emily Hawley

Emily (Wood) Hawley is a staff writer for Liberty Counsel, a nationwide public interest civil liberties law firm committed to restoring the culture, advancing religious freedom, protecting the unborn, and strengthening the family. Emily previously worked as a reporter in Washington, D.C., and served as a political appointee in the Trump White House and as a press secretary in the U.S. House of Representatives. She graduated with a degree in journalism from Liberty University where she served as editor-in-chief of the Liberty Champion newspaper.

Daniel Schmid

Daniel Schmid is a constitutional attorney and the Associate Vice of Legal Affairs with Liberty Counsel, an international nonprofit, litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family.

Since 2012, Daniel has been on the front lines of litigating many critical First Amendment issues. In addition to his work as a litigator, Daniel has taught constitutional law at Liberty University School of Law and was the managing editor of the Law Review while at Liberty Law.

Daniel's masterful interpretation of the intersection today's consequential constitutional law cases and their impact on faith and culture has landed him appearances on FoxNews, NewsMax, Real America News, the Glenn Beck program on The Blaze, as well as frequent guest appearances on local radio programs throughout the country.

Harry Mihet

Harry Mihet is Vice President of Legal Affairs and Chief Litigation Counsel with Liberty Counsel, an international nonprofit litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family. Harry grew up in communist Romania, where his father pastored seventeen, mostly underground churches, and faced persecution. Harry received his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Criminology from the University of Florida and his law degree from Duke University School of Law.

Harry joined Liberty Counsel in 2008, after sensing God's call to defend our most cherished freedoms. Since then, Harry has participated in many critical issues, including the defense of churches against unconstitutional and discriminatory government closing orders; the defense of employees and military service members against unlawful vaccination mandates; the defense of pro-life Americans facing frivolous lawsuits by the Department of Justice; the defense of high school administrators charged with criminal contempt for the crime of “praying”; and the defense of Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk Kim Davis, who was jailed because of her conscience and religious beliefs regarding marriage.

John Stemberger

John Stemberger is the president of Liberty Counsel Action and Senior Counsel of Liberty Counsel. John founded the influential Florida Family Policy Council, which he led for over twenty years, and was a primary founder of Trail Life USA, a nationwide Christian scouting movement for boys. 

John is an AV-rated Orlando attorney and has been a conservative policy advocate for over 35 years. He is the author of Legacy of Life, a book published in 2023 that pays tribute to 50 of the greatest pro-life leaders. John is a graduate of Florida State University and the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

Jonathan Alexandre

Jonathan Alexandre, Esq., is Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Senior Counsel for Liberty Counsel and Liberty Counsel Action. Jonathan consults with and advises state and federal legislators and policy groups in government relations. He also serves as General Counsel for the Frederick Douglass Foundation.

Jonathan came to Liberty Counsel and Liberty Counsel Action with wide-ranging legal and public policy experience. During the Trump administration, he was a Presidential Appointee serving on the U.S. Agency for Global Media board of directors. Formerly the Assistant General Counsel and Public Policy Coordinator for the Massachusetts Family Institute in Boston, Jonathan also developed the Massachusetts Attorney Resource Council, a network of pro-family Massachusetts attorneys. Jonathan was a Scholar in Residence at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs in Israel. He also previously served as a civilian attorney at the U.S. Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School. Jonathan and his wife, Renee, enjoy traveling with their toddler daughter.

Mat Staver

Mat Staver serves as Senior Pastor, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel; Chairman of Liberty Counsel Action, Faith and Liberty, Freedom Federation, Salt & Light Council, and National House of Hope; Founder and Chairman of Liberty Relief International; Vice President and Chief Counsel of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (which includes over 42,000 Evangelical Hispanic churches); Trustee, Timothy Plan, a family of mutual funds traded in New York and Tel Aviv; and former dean of Liberty University School of Law. Mat has the highest AV rating for attorneys and is board certified in Appellate Practice by the Florida Bar. He has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. He has published many scholarly and popular articles, brochures, numerous booklets and books, including Why Israel Matters, Covenant Journal, and Eternal Vigilance. He has produced the “Why Israel Matters” original TV, as well as produces and hosts Faith & Freedom, an 11-minute daily radio program, Freedom’s Call, a 60-second daily radio program, and Freedom Alive, a 30-minute weekly TV program. He is married to Anita, who is president of Liberty Counsel.

Michael Larson

Michael Larson is a retired U.S. Naval Officer and served for 28 years on active duty. Throughout his career, Michael was a communicator serving as a combat photojournalist and public affairs officer in a variety of worldwide assignments, including deployments on aircraft carriers and on the ground in Iraq, Africa, The Philippines, and Israel. He now serves as Liberty Counsel’s Media Director and writes on a variety of issues related to religious liberty, sanctity of life, and the family. He holds a criminal justice degree from Chapman University and graduate degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies from San Diego State University.

Michaela McLean Wilkes

Michaela McLean Wilkes is a faith and culture contributor for The Liberator, host of the “Be Brave & Beautiful” Podcast and co-founder of "Brave & Beautiful," a ministry that empowers today's young women to lead with confidence and courage, grounded in biblical values.  She graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Public Relations and Dance from the University of Alabama in 2019. She is also a writer and contributor for The Conservateur, an online publication that embraces conservative values of faith, family, and freedom.

Michaela won the title of Miss Florida 2019 and placed in the Top 15 at Miss America 2020. She currently resides in Naples, Florida with her husband Grayson and their Golden Retriever, Archie.
