The Cost of Rejecting God’s Design: Why the Anti-Truth Movement Hurts the Most Vulnerable

The pervasiveness of truth-rejecting ideology is on full display at the Paris Olympics, from the perverse opening ceremonies to "opponents with XY chromosomes" (males) allowed to box biological women. The world watched as Italian boxer Angela Carini was forced out of the boxing match in tears, her dreams shattered, after taking two massive blows from a fighter disgracefully allowed to compete as a female. A similar scenario played out just days later when another boxer with male chromosomes was allowed to pummel a biological woman in an Olympic match.  

These are not isolated instances of this kind of abuse and injustice, and they certainly won’t be the last. With the Biden-Harris administration’s radical rewrite of Title IX taking effect in 24 states last week, this nightmare will continue to be a reality for women and girls across America, as it is now federal policy for men to violate the privacy, safety, and fairness of females in sports and private spaces. 

Tip of the Iceberg 

What we're witnessing is a painful consequence of a culture that rejects truth for lies, and this is just the tip of the iceberg of the harm being done.  

No matter your worldview, men and women everywhere should be outraged that this pervasive agenda that panders to sexual perversion and delusion is being platformed and enabled — at the expense of society at large, but especially children.  

It is true they’re ultimately coming for our children, who are always the primary target of the harmful, progressive ideology. 

Predation of the innocent is an abomination and a crime against humanity — whether by killing babies in the womb through abortion or convincing minors to surgically or chemically mutilate their healthy bodies. 

Most Vulnerable the Primary Target 

When the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus sang, “We’re Coming for Your Children” in 2021, or last year when LGBTQ activists in a New York City parade chanted, “We’re here! We’re queer! We’re coming for your children!” they weren’t kidding.  

I remember the shock when I saw through a restaurant window a drag queen performing on stage with a little girl in the Florida town where I live. Of course, I’d heard about drag queen story hours and children at “pride” parades but seeing this perversion on full display saddened and infuriated me all at once. 

A recent report found that more than one in four Gen Z adults, ages 18-25, identify as LGBTQ, a drastic increase from previous generations. As this social contagion is “normalized” and pushed by the government, corporate America, the media and entertainment industries, and the public school system, I fear this alarming statistic will only increase.  

When we sound the alarm on the LGBTQ agenda’s sexual predation of children, we’re not crying wolf to fearmonger votes or reactions. This agenda poses a deeply sinister threat that targets minors, the most vulnerable and impressionable among us.  

Though gruesome, it’s important to understand what is happening nationwide. Boys as young as 15 are enduring “vaginoplasty” surgeries, and girls as young as 13 are undergoing double mastectomies to remove their healthy breasts. Countless minors are being prescribed harmful drugs and hormones to artificially halt the natural process of puberty. Children are being lied to and convinced their biology is faulty and should be permanently and painfully altered to match their misguided feelings. 

Not only is this blatant medical malpractice, but I believe it will one day be regarded as a medical scandal of the century. Minors are subjecting themselves to being lifetime medical patients who will continue to suffer and never, no matter how hard they try, succeed in “transitioning” to the opposite sex.  

We must push back against this exploitive agenda that tells kids they could be “born in the wrong body” and prevent the medical industry from inflicting irreversible harm. God doesn’t make mistakes, and no one is born in the wrong body. 

Sex is determined at conception and immutable; no amount of hormones, surgery, or “treatment” will alter the DNA engrained in every cell.  

Protecting children’s rights  

The darkness of this atrocity is coming to light, thanks to the bravery of whistleblowers like Dr. Eithan Haim and nurse Vanessa Sivadge, who exposed Texas Children's Hospital’s undercover transgender operations on minors, and the work of investigative journalists like Brandon Showalter. “De-transitioners” who woke up to the lies they were fed are now coming out and warning others not to make the same mistakes they did. 

While states like California are banning teachers from reporting to parents if their child goes by the pronouns opposite from their biology, over half of states in the U.S. have banned puberty blockers, hormone therapies, and mutilating surgeries for minors.  

Currently, 26 states ban puberty blockers, hormone therapies, and mutilating surgeries for minors (four states blocked amid legal challenges). Twenty-five states protect female sports from biological males (seven states blocked amid legal challenges).  

Fifteen states regulate classroom instruction on gender/sexual orientation, 13 states mandate the use of public-school restrooms based on biological sex, and 18 states codify parental rights giving parents the “fundamental right to make decisions concerning the upbringing, education, and care of their child.” Eight states have laws defining “man” and “woman,” and six states ban public adult performances (drag shows) for minors (three states blocked amid a legal challenge). 

All 50 states should enact commonsense laws to uphold truth and protect the fundamental rights of minors and parents to ensure no child is able to mutilate their body after believing the lies of LGBTQ “gender identity.” 

The fact that we are even having a conversation over whether minors (or anyone, for that matter) should have the “right” to mutilate their healthy body to “change” an intrinsic quality is sad. But the root of this is spiritual in nature and the result of rejecting God’s good design and the natural order established at Creation. 

The truth of male and female is foundational and necessary for the proper functioning of the natural world and culture.  

If the anti-truth status quo persists, we will continue to see injustices and exploitation perpetrated against women and children defended in the name of gender identity and tolerance. 

As a society, and more specifically as Christians, it is paramount that we champion truth even as we protect the innocence and well-being of the most vulnerable — children.
